Who are the killers? Hunters with Dogs
Probably the most highly publicised and despicably cruel exploitation of foxes, deer and hares in modern Britain. Suffice to say that it has been condemned by a massive majority of elected representatives in both Westminster and Edinburgh and was banned in Scotland on February 2002 and throughout the UK in February 2005.
Congratulations must go to Advocates for Animals, League Against Cruel Sports, International Fund for Animal Welfare, the National Anti-Hunt Campaign and others, for their sustained campaigning.
Any notion that hunting with dogs was crucial to the survival of the countryside was fictitious nonsense.
Regretably, hounds continue to be allowed to pursue foxes and deer, that are then supposed to be shot. However, it has been reported that "accidents" do occur where hounds continue to rip foxes apart.
Animal rights campaigners are closely watching this situation and hope to provide video evidence to the police of any such happenings.
